One name, one standard.
Yasmine Auclair is the pen name the SOUL editorial team writes under. One byline, one standard: recommendations follow the research method on our How we choose page, and every guide is edited against the same rules before it goes up.
Who writes SOUL.
Yasmine Auclair is not one person. It is the pen name SOUL's small editorial team publishes under, so every guide carries one consistent voice and one consistent standard, whoever drafted it. We say this plainly because you should know who is talking to you.
What stays the same under that name is the method: research, published customer reviews and linked sources. No paid placement, and no brand sees a page before you do. Where a brand is a partner, the page says so.
None of us is a dermatologist, and we never write as if we were. Medical and safety claims link to their sources, such as the American Academy of Dermatology or the FTC. When we get something wrong we correct it in public, with the date on it.
What being written about here actually requires.
