Why we chose it

It comes off clean
Ten minutes wrapped in acetone and it slides off in sheets. This is the whole reason it is we recommend it — plenty of gels look good and then take a layer of your nail with them.
The color is the color
Two coats gives you what is on the bottle. That sounds like a low bar until you have ordered a dusty rose online and unwrapped a highlighter.

How long does Beetles gel actually last?
Ten to fourteen days for most people before the regrowth shows. Washing up, the gym and typing do not chip it. Picking at it does.
Do I need a UV lamp?
Yes. Gel only hardens under a lamp — air drying does nothing. Any standard LED nail lamp works and it cures in about sixty seconds per coat.
Will it damage my natural nails?
Not if you soak it off instead of peeling it. Peeling takes a layer of nail every time. Ten minutes wrapped in acetone and it lifts away on its own.
Do the shades look like they do online?
Close, but depth shifts with skin tone and coat count. Two coats gives the bottle color; one coat reads sheerer and warmer.
